In the eyes of saints/sages/learners: observe the good and get rid the bad.

  If you are a practitioners of good values, you will not hold on to the flaws/faults of others in the pure heart of yours- purity in you. 

That means you know what's right and what's wrong and you don't allow others to affect you in a negative way. Being kind and assertive is the right way of life in today's society. Being nice to an appropriate degree to only certain people usually loved ones...

Your heart will only contain and remember the good and let the bad/evil deeds of others go yet not let others take advantage of you.

All religion is one big family. God from all religion loves all humans. Religious education is the education of love - gist of it: compassion and kindness. Religious education will bring peace and harmony to mankind which involves selflessness, but in today's society in an assertive way so that people do not take advantage of you and don't manipulate you for their own ulterior motives.
